Preventing Hazing: A Commitment to Safety
Hazing is any intentional, knowing or reckless act, occurring on or off the campus by one person alone or acting with others, directed against a student that endangers the mental or physical health or safety of a student for the purpose of pledging, being initiated into, affiliating with, holding office in, or maintaining membership in an organizations who members are or include students at the University. Hazing, even with the consent of the student, is prohibited at TAMUT. Both the individual(s) inflicting the hazing and the person submitting to the hazing, as well as the organization, are subject to discipline. More information about our policies concerning hazing as well as a list of anyone disciplined for hazing in the last 3 years can be found

Expressive Activity
Freedom of expression is of critical importance and a fundamental right. A free, robust, and inhibited debate and deliberation by students enrolled at TAMUT is protected. To ensure free and equal access to Expressive Activities by campus community members and the public on campus, traditional public forums have been established. Use of other areas of the campus for expressive activities may also be permitted. Details on the right to expressive activities on campus can be found in University Procedure 08.99.99.H1, Expressive Activity on Campus.
